We all have dreams, ideas, and creative solutions. Often times, we can never find the support we need to turn our creativity into reality. We lack some significant pieces to the puzzle, without them, we just move our creativity to the “never-mind” pile. We fail to participate in the creative process, denying both ourselves and the world of our self-actualization and our unique participation.
One alternative, to the squandering of human potential, presents itself when we dare to consider the possibility that the advancement of the one can simultaneously advance the interests of the many. Enlightened Self Interest, squarely founded upon mutual cooperation and service to others, tends to be reciprocated and beneficial to all in the long run. We serve our own interests by considering and serving the interests of others.
